the great first eight.

so far, i've completed eight things from the list. is that good? hmm. hard to say. it's a start, especially because i didn't go really out of my way to complete any of the items i finished. here's what i've done:

4. attend a Cardinals game at the new Busch Stadium
Hank's parents had tickets for the playoffs game on oct. 7, 2006 and they took us. the stadium is really nice and i had a most delicious veggie burger. hank made sure i walked up to the stadium down a street that gives a really great view. i hate watching baseball on tv, but being there was so much fun.

5. buy some original artwork, preferably by someone local kali and i went to the renegade fair in chicago in september 2006. i bought a really neat handmade print from a very nice girl and a guy with a european accent wearing an against me! shirt. i think he was her boyfriend. i hope so, at least, because they made a really cute couple.

35. play tennis with Hank without complaining that he’s intentionally playing too hard
we played in the evening, and while i didn't complain about him playing too hard, i did have to complain about the nasty blood blister that i got from wearing my wedding rings.

78. take Lauren and Kelly’s advice and get some bronzer, then actually wear it for at least a month
i got some bronzer from drugstore.com, thinking i didn't even care if i saw it in person, because i probably wouldn't like it anyway. well, i was wrong, and they were right. it made me look healthy, like i actually spend time outside doing sporty things. well, probably the sporty things part is taking it a bit too far. anyway, i am still wearing the bronzer everyday, even though it's been more than a couple or few months.

85. have Emilie cut my hair
sometime in september 2006 emilie cut my hair. she did an awesome job, and i am going to do my damnest to make it over to springfield from now on anytime i need something hair-related done.

89. make those awesome zucchini or cucumber flat ribbons with my mandoline
i made these ribbons with zucchini and grilled them. they were awesome. i don't have much else to say about them.

90. invite the neighbors over, even if only for a drink
we had a bbq on aug. 5, 2006 and tracy and luke came over. i don't know how long they stayed, but it was for a little while. they brought caspian too, and all the dogs romped while everyone got drunk enough to handle a streaking by chris mills.

92. teach Gemma to shake
i think we taught her this in a matter of about 3 or 4 days. she's a freaking genius pup. it's one of her best tricks.
